HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

It's a new year and a new decade...2009 was a boring year in terms of sports..hope 2010 will be better...here are some things we can look forward to this year..

FOOTBALL
Finally the world cup is here!!32 teams will battle for glory in South Africa...but considering the recent attacks on footballers during the African cup not many players seem to be enthusiastic..to improve the security players will be required to wear bulletproof vests while playing..Ronaldo(the fat one) will be pretty happy hearing that..now he won't be the only player to look fat..also we can hope to see the real 'GROUP OF DEATH'
Looks to be an interesting year for football..

CRICKET
The T-20 world cup will be held this year..as usual India will crash out of the tournament before the knockout stages..Dhoni, the great captain he is ,will defend his players and will have something else to blame like the beaches in the carribean or the dog that sat in boundary line or maybe the noise the crowd makes ...however i wouldn't like to see the players caught with their pants down as was the case with Viraat Kohli...

GOLF
The Tiger Woods saga never ends..in the latest and till now the most serious allegation Tiger Woods has been accused of being bisexual!!!if he was in Uganda he would have been hanged by now..i am not surprised , after all he's a golf player and golfers tend to catch sticks in their hands while playing..hope this year he would concentrate more on holes that are on the green rather than off it...

HOCKEY
The Indian players recently went on a strike to increase their pay and guess what they got more than 2 crores!!so i also followed their example and went on a hunger strike to increase my pocket money...unfortunately my parents weren't worried and infact were quite happy to save some money on the food...:-(
But the players had better luck than me and i wish they do well in the world cup to be held this year...

ATHLETICS
This year we also have the commonwealth games to be held in India..the biggest disappointment is the possible absence of world champion sprinter Usain Bolt..you can't blame the guy he gets inspired to run fast only when American sprinter GAY runs behind him..actually if a guy called Gay is behind you any straight man would run for his life....

An Open Letter To The ICC

Dear Sir,
The recent test matches between India and Sri Lanka and also west Indies and Australia have seen poor crowds...I am , as a longtime fan of cricket , deeply concerned...so these are some of the measures i suggest to you to make the sport much more interesting...

Cheerleaders in Test matches
Sometimes test matches tend to be boring...crowd will be disappointed if no good entertainment is available..as we have seen in the IPL cheerleaders tend to raise the enthusiasm of the crowd..
these cheerleaders are some of the best..try them out...

The K-Sutra
You can always use the advice given by Indian team coach Gary Kirsten...that's why India are the no.1 team in tests right now...if u don't the players will be restless during the match and you will have to see the following scenes...


Be careful where you hit the balls!! This is one image you don't want the kids to see..

Make Tiger Woods the brand ambassador for the game
Its true that Tiger doesn't know much about cricket but he can be a good role model for all the young players...he has truly shown how to mix business with pleasure..present cricketers can also learn from him how they can enjoy all they want and still be respected..

i m sure tiger would teach them to be more well behaved...

Emphasis on Women's cricket
All other successful sports have a good audience for the female version of the game except cricket..women's tennis with its Sharapova's, Serena's has turned out to be a popular and a glamorous game ...there is no reason why this shouldn't be replicated in cricket too...
some changes in the attire would help very much...

India won the series vs Sri Lanka 2-0 and with that Team India went to the top of the test rankings...how long they will stay there is anybody's guess...last time India were on top the rankings in Odi's they came crashing down just a day later...Sehwag was the man of the match and also the man of the series....

GOLF
this is the first time i am writing about golf..this story involves a whole new different kind of holes...Tiger Woods the ideal role model is now involved in a scandal...the world no 1 crashed his car near his house but this is not the news...
Tiger woods has allegedly affairs with 9 different women...9 more and you will have an entire golf course...go Tiger!!!!!

Tottenham can't stop bragging about their momentous victory..they took celebration to a whole new level..i entered their website and this is what i saw...

this was not the end as they also have the match on dvd!!!come on its not as if you have won the championship...you have just won a single match against a weak team...its no big deal..somebody must explain this to the team management...

every aussie likes to blame his mother...shane warne blamed his for getting caught while using drugs...don't they have anything else to complain about like our cricketers do...

they have to be creative with their excuses !!

Meanwhile it is illegal in North Korea to watch a live football match during the world cup in 2010..this announcement was made by their supreme leader Kim Jong -iL...
apparently they know their football team is going to get @#%^&$ in every match and so the new rules...wish they could do that to cricket in India..
we will never have the disappointment of seeing our men in blue crash out of high profile events..

Hand of God-Part 2

Thierry Henry denied the Irish their rightful place at the world cup through his now infamous "hand of god "controversy or rather the "the hand of frog"...

Henry for his part has admitted that it was an intentional handball..he has also asked Fifa to replay the match..
strangely this appeal came after Fifa said that it won't allow a rematch at any cost..henry has admitted that he thought about retiring after the controversy...


well well look who's showing his true colours...
this is a more appropriate game for henry...
he also got an award for his outstanding skills in the field...

Argentina coach Diego Maradona was banned by Fifa for two months for using abusive language with the reporters after his team's victory over Uruguay..he was also fined more than $24,000 for his behaviour.. i don't think anyone should be punished so heavily for a little bit of swearing..

chelsea's injury list seems to be growing by the day..first bosingwa then ashley cole..now it seems that Drogba and Lampard are also on the injury list..
Drogba was declared fit by the chelsea team medic's but his national team Ivory coast medics found out that all was not well with the star striker..so now it's official Ivory Coast has better health care facilities than England...
Lampard too is injured allegedly after travelling in a substandard plane from england to Doha...
he maybe out for 4 weeks or more..

current Spur's and ex-chelsea goalkeeper carlo Cudicini has managed to finally end his career.. well almost..the italian who was suffering from a back injury decided that zooming at Mach speeds in his BMW superbike wouldn't be a problem..well unfortunately he crashed and was fighting for his life..thankfully he has recovered and will play soon..but his heroics has been deemed as a breach of contract by his team management and his career remains uncertain..
